Our Gardens

These are the gardens that are currently a part of the network:
Ethos
Florida Institute of Technology

Ethos is located in the residential quad of the Florida Institute of Technology campus. This student-driven community garden takes its name from the word "ethos" - the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its beliefs and aspirations. It was the first garden of the Ethos - Pathos - Logos sister gardens and it opened in 2016. It is home to raised beds, a rain barrel water collection system, and a small composting setup.

Logos
DeSoto Park

Logos Community Garden opened in Satellite Beach in October of 2017.  It qualifies as a Green Achievement Target (GAT) per the City’s Sustainability Action Plan, a guide to implementing more sustainability-based projects and policies. It is home to twenty 4x8 raised beds, a shade house, and a substantial rain barrel watering system with a solar pump.

Pathos
Ramp Road Park

This garden is the newest addition to the garden network. It had its grand opening in September of 2018 and is the sister garden of Ethos at the Florida Institute of Technology and Logos in Satellite Beach. The garden has fourteen raised beds and it supports a growing composting system, which includes vermicomposting. The pollinator garden contains native, Florida friendly plants which enhances the garden’s beauty and productivity. Future projects include creating a rain barrel system, installing a bat house and supplying a hydroponic tower with solar energy.

Kairos
Patriots Park

The Cape Canaveral Kairos Community Garden was established in 2016 after several brainstorming sessions with involved residents. Its mission is to foster a sense of community while providing a green space that encourages organic and sustainable practices, including the use of reclaimed water, beds made from upcycled Hurricane Irma debris and the planting of native wildflower pollinators.

Rockwell Collins
Daily Bread

In September of 2013, Rockwell Collins started a garden club and partnered with Daily Bread to grow fresh vegetables for their daily meals to feed the homeless and hungry. Two garden locations (one at Rockwell Collins and one at Daily Bread) were established and are roughly 25' x 40' in size.  Rockwell Collins provides financial support through an annual Green Grant and also a multitude of volunteer hours from the employees.
